What Is Treasure Hunt?
Treasure Hunt is our in-person search service.
Instead of searching online, we visit stores, events, and other locations in Japan to search for the items you’re looking for.
This service is ideal for products that are difficult or impossible to purchase online.

Service Fee
- Pre-search planning and research
- In-person store search

- Approximately one month of online follow-up search
- Transportation or admission fees may apply depending on the search location.
- The item budget is quoted separately.
- International shipping costs are billed separately after your item arrives at our office.
- PayPal or Wise payment processing fees are not included and will be charged separately if applicable.
How It Works
Submit your request using our contact form. Please include as much information as possible, such as:
- Product name
- Photos
- Event information
- Store information
- Description of the item
- Series or brand
- Budget
- Any stores or locations you’d like us to check
The more details you provide, the better we can plan the search.
Before visiting stores, we’ll research the item and create an efficient search plan. Depending on your request, we may:
- Research the item beforehand
- Plan the best search route
- Identify promising stores
- Prepare a search strategy
If our pre-search research finds your item available online, we’ll recommend completing the request through our Deep Research and Easy Buy services instead of Treasure Hunt. This helps you avoid unnecessary travel costs while still getting the item you want.
We’ll review your request and prepare a personalized quotation. Your quote may include:
- Treasure Hunt service fee
- Estimated transportation or admission fees (if applicable)
- Recommended item budget
- Payment processing fees (PayPal or Wise, if applicable)
Once you’re happy with the quote, simply complete the payment to begin.
We’ll visit stores in person to search for your item. When appropriate, we may:
- Check multiple specialty stores
- Speak with store staff
- Take reference photos
- Record useful information for our report
After the search, you’ll receive a detailed Treasure Hunt Report. The report may include:
- Stores visited
- Search results
- Photos taken during the search
- Suggested next steps (if needed)
Great news! We’ll purchase the item on your behalf and prepare it for international shipping.
Once your item arrives at our office, we’ll carefully pack it and send you a second invoice that includes:
- International shipping cost
- Payment processing fees (PayPal or Wise, if applicable)
After payment is confirmed, we’ll ship your package.
Don’t worry—your Treasure Hunt doesn’t necessarily end there. We’ll continue searching online for approximately one month, including marketplaces and collector communities whenever appropriate.
You may choose to:
- Keep your item budget with us for continued searching
- Request a refund of your item budget at any time
We’ll contact you immediately if we find a promising lead.
