Japan Treasure Hunter is a shopping support service that helps customers around the world find and purchase items from Japan.

We offer three services:

• Easy Buy – Purchase items when you already have a product URL.
• Deep Research – We help identify products and search online using photos, descriptions, or ideas.
• Treasure Hunt – We search for rare or hard-to-find items in person at stores across Japan.

Choose the service that best matches your needs.

You already have a product URL and would like us to purchase the item for you.

Service Fee:
• Up to 10 items: ¥2,000
• Additional items: ¥150 each

You need help identifying a product, finding where it is sold online, comparing options, or receiving personalized recommendations.

Flat Fee: ¥1,500 per request (PayPal and Wise processing fees included)

Need someone in Japan to physically search for a hard-to-find item? We visit stores, markets, events, antique fairs, and other locations across Japan to help locate products that are not easily available online.

No problem. Our Deep Research service is designed for customers who need help identifying products, finding where they are sold, comparing options, or receiving personalized recommendations.

Whether you have a photo, a vague description, or simply a budget and an idea, we’ll do our best to help.

We currently accept PayPal and Wise. You may choose the payment method that works best for you.

Payment instructions will be provided after your request has been reviewed.

For Easy Buy, product costs and service fees must be paid before we purchase the items. International shipping is invoiced separately after all items arrive at our Japan address.

Yes. We can ship to most countries worldwide, subject to carrier restrictions and local import regulations.

Shipping costs vary depending on the destination country, package size, weight, and shipping method.

Deep Research and Treasure Hunt include PayPal and Wise processing fees in the service fee. For Easy Buy, payment processing fees are not included and will be charged separately if applicable.

Unless otherwise stated, the following costs are not included:

• Product cost
• Domestic shipping within Japan
• International shipping
• Customs duties and import taxes

Here’s how cancellations and refunds work:

• Service fees are non-refundable once work has begun.
• The item budget can be refunded upon request if the item is not found.
• Transportation costs or other expenses already incurred during the search are generally non-refundable.

Because product availability varies, we cannot guarantee that a requested item will be found.

No. Product availability depends on stock levels, seller availability, market conditions, and item rarity. Items may become unavailable at any time.

Absolutely. We specialize in helping customers locate hard-to-find Japanese products. Depending on the request, we may recommend either Deep Research (online investigation) or Treasure Hunt (in-person searching in Japan).

Unlike many proxy services, we do more than simply purchase products. We can help identify unknown items, locate difficult-to-find products, provide personalized recommendations, and even search Japanese stores on your behalf.

Our goal is simple: to connect you with the Japanese products you’re looking for, whatever it takes.

Treasure Hunt can search for a wide variety of items, including:

• Event-exclusive products
• Antique items
• Tableware
• Toys
• Other rare Japanese products

If you’re not sure whether your item qualifies, feel free to ask.

If we’re unable to locate your item during the in-person search:

• A Treasure Hunt Report will be provided.
• We continue searching online for approximately one month.

After that, you may choose to:

• Keep the item budget with Japan Treasure Hunter for continued searching, or
• Request a refund of the item budget.

Treasure Hunt includes:

• Pre-search planning
• In-person store search
• Treasure Hunt Report (PDF)
• Purchase service (if found)
• Approximately one month of online follow-up search

The in-person search is usually completed in one day.

If the item isn’t found, online follow-up continues for approximately one month.

Yes. You may receive updates during the search when appropriate.

Once the search is complete, we’ll send you a Treasure Hunt Report summarizing the results.

Traditional proxy shopping services only purchase items that already have a listing.

Japan Treasure Hunter also offers:

Yes. You can submit:

• Photos
• Product names

• Ideas

Deep Research is recommended when a URL is unavailable.

Certain items cannot be accepted due to Japanese law or international shipping restrictions, such as prohibited or dangerous goods.
